Rental & Monetary Assistance, & Benefits

The following provide links to resources related to monetary aid and benefits, as well as to Get Help Florida assistance resources:

Pinellas County Emergency Rental Assistance Program For residents who:
  • experienced significant financial hardship between March 13, 2020, and now 
  • behind on rent payments or at risk of missing a rent payment
  • household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI), with priority given to households below 50% of the AMI.
    • For a single-person household, 80% of the AMI is $39,400. For a household of four, 80% of the AMI is $56,250. 
  • Priority will also be given to applicants who are facing an active eviction in court.

Social Security Online Services      

Temporary Cash Assistance  The TCA program provides cash assistance to families with children under the age of 18 or under age 19 if full time secondary (high school) school students, that meet the technical, income, and asset requirements. The program helps families become self-supporting while allowing children to remain in their own homes. Pregnant women may also receive TCA, either in the third trimester of pregnancy if unable to work, or in the 9th month of pregnancy. Parents, children and minor siblings who live together must apply together.

Food Stamps  The Food Stamp Program helps people with low-income, buy healthy food. 

Medicaid  Medicaid provides Medical coverage to low income individuals and families. The state and federal government share the costs of the Medicaid program
